AIDS Virus
AIDS stands for acquired immune deficiency syndrome. The virus that causes AIDS is called HIV (human immunodeficiency virus.) What it does is use the viral RNA to transcribe itself in reverse. Instead of DNA transcribing mRNA, the HIV uses mRNA an enzyme to make DNA, making copies of itself and weakening the immune system. People with AIDS are unable to deal with infections that a healthy immune system could easily destroy.
